Mindful Experience

A day to slow down, reconnect with nature & enjoy simple mindful practices in one of Morocco’s most beautiful landscapes.

Overview

Our Mindful Day experience invites you to step away from the busy pace of everyday life & spend a day reconnecting with yourself in the peaceful surroundings of Paradise Valley.

Surrounded by palm trees, flowing water & mountain views providing a beautiful setting for you to reconnect. The day combines gentle yoga with pranayama, mindful walking & guided meditation.  There is also time to simply rest & enjoy being in nature. Rather than rushing from place to place, the focus is on slowing down & experiencing the present.

Guests are guided through simple practices inspired by mindfulness and Vipassana meditation, helping to develop awareness of the breath, the body and the natural environment around us.

OPTIONAL SILENCE For those who wish, the day can also be experienced partly or entirely in silence. This is completely optional, but many people find that stepping away from conversation allows the mind to settle more deeply & helps the practice feel more immersive & restorative.

With a relaxed atmosphere & small group size, the experience offers a supportive space to slow down. An offering to help you reconnect so that you return feeling calm, grounded & refreshed.

Practice in the Valley

The day begins with a gentle walk into the peaceful surroundings of Paradise Valley, allowing guests to settle into the slower rhythm of nature.

Discovering palm trees, flowing water & mountain views, the group is guided through to a space, where we paus to practice simple yoga movements & pranayama breathing practices.

These gentle exercises help release tension & bring awareness back to the breath & body. The focus is not on intensity or performance, but on creating space to arrive, to observe more clocely the body & mind. Taking time to ground & connect with the natural environment.

Lunch in the Valley

Midday we pause to enjoy lunch at Afra, a peaceful spot nestled within the valley. To continue with your practice, here you will have the option to take a mindful lunch.

For this you will be guided through techniques on Surrounded by nature and far from the busy pace of the coast, it’s a chance to slow down and enjoy a simple meal together.

This practice of slowing down & being present with the sensations of each bite, allows for a deeper appreciation for the taste & the food as as a fuel for the body.

Mindful Walking

In the afternoon we explore the valley through a mindful walk rather than focusing on distance or speed. The walk invites guests to move slowly & become more aware of their surroundings.

As you walk, attention naturally begins to settle on the rhythm of your steps. Slowing down to observe the sounds of the valley & the feeling of the landscape beneath your feet. Even a short walk can become a powerful way to quiet the mind & reconnect with the present moment.

Mindful walking is often practiced in Vipassana meditation alongside seated meditation. Including walking meditation in the day can help deepen awareness, strengthen concentration & bring a greater sense of calm to the practice.

The Forest of Paradise Valley

The valley is filled with hidden corners where ancient palm trees, flowing water & rocky cliffs create a landscape that feels calm & timeless. Taking time to notice the small details of the environment deepens the experience of being in nature.

Guests are encouraged to slow down & observe. Looking closely & the colours, textures, sounds & natural patterns that surround them.

Allowing the mind to settle & the senses to awaken. Taking the time to really see, appreciate & connect to the valley,

Guided Meditation & Sound Relaxation

To close the day, guests are guided through a meditation & some sound for relaxation.

Gentle tones from singing bowls or chimes blend with the natural sounds of the valley, creating a deeply calming atmosphere.

This final moment of stillness allows the body & mind to fully absorb the experience of the day. A final grounding & release for the guests. We leave the valley feeling refreshed, connected to both nature work & themselves.
