Morning Practice

Each day begins with a gentle morning yoga session designed to awaken the body & bring awareness to the breath. The practices combine mindful movement, simple stretches & moments of stillness. Designed to help guests start the day feeling grounded & energised.

We take time to practice various Pranayama. This is the yogic practice of controlling prana  (life energy) through conscious breathing techniques. Helping to balance the mind & body. this we can reduces stress, improve clarity & learn to practice control. By regulating the nervous system we can also improve our energy & mood.

The sessions focus on listening to the body rather than pushing towards particular shapes or perfect alignment. The practice is guided with options that allow you to decide where you take it.

By moving slowly & observing sensations, guests are encouraged to develop a deeper awareness of their bodies & their breath. This helps improve their practice focus & can support more strength in holds.

Start each day with an incredible mountain view, surrounded by towering palms & the birds singing their morning songs.

Evening Practice

In the evenings we may gather again for gentle yoga or mindfulness sessions designed to help the body unwind after the day.

These yoga practices are slower & more restorative, allowing guests to release tension, settle the mind & prepare for a restful evening.

There will also be the option one evening to visit a local village for traditional tea & sunset. An oppertunity to explore the local culture.

Meditation & Journalling

After morning practice, there is time for meditation & journalling. With a dedicated space that allows guests to feel comfortable to practising a longer relaxation following the morning practice or using this time for reflecting & noting down thoughts.

These quiet moments allow guests to reflect, observe their thoughts & set intentions for the day ahead.

Inspired by Vipassana and mindfulness techniques, the meditation practices encourage awareness of breath, body sensations & the present moment.

Creative &  Mindful Experiences

Alongside yoga & meditation, the retreat includes creative & mindful experiences designed to deepen awareness & encourage self-expression.

Activities may include mindfulness workshops, mandala walks, creative sessions & movement practices such as dance or walking meditation.

These experiences offer different ways to explore presence, creativity and connection with the environment.

Guided Meditation & Sound Relaxation

Guided by Meg

Meg discovered yoga and meditation while looking for natural ways to manage stress & find a greater sense of calm. Over time her personal practice deepened through mindfulness meditation, including Vipassana techniques inspired by the Mahasi tradition.

Whilst visiting Paradise Valley, Meg found that the quiet rhythm of the landscape naturally supports this practice. Surrounded by mountains, palm trees & flowing water where you can hide away from the noise. The valley offers a peaceful environment that encourages people to slow down & reconnect with the present moment.

Her teaching combines gentle yoga, breath awareness & meditation practices that invite guests to observe the body with curiosity & kindness. The natural energy of the valley becomes part of the experience, creating a calm & supportive space. Guests can move with awareness, settle the mind & reconnect with themselves.
