Overview
Paradise Valley is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in southern Morocco. Just a short distance from the coast, the valley opens into dramatic rock formations, with palm tree trails & natural swimming pools fed by mountain springs.
Our guided hikes explore some of the most scenic parts of the valley. Combining gentle walking with time to swim, relax & enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Led by local guide Mohamed, these experiences offer a relaxed way to discover the landscape while learning more about the area & its traditions.
Guests can choose between a full day adventure with lunch in the valley or a shorter half day hike that still captures the beauty of this unique place.
Walking Through the Valley
The hike takes you along paths lined with trees – Olive, Palm, Argan & more, with rocky trails that wind through the heart of Paradise Valley.
With its dramatic cliffs, winding riverbeds & pockets of lush greenery, the valley offers a landscape that feels both wild & peaceful at the same time.
The pace is relaxed & suitable for most fitness levels, allowing time to enjoy the views & appreciate the peaceful atmosphere of the landscape.
Along the way, Mohamed shares stories about the valley & its traditions, giving guests a deeper connection to the place beyond simply passing through it.
Natural Swimming Pools
Along the route we reach some of the valley’s beautiful natural pools, formed by clear mountain water flowing through the rocks. These pools are one of the highlights of Paradise Valley & offer a refreshing place to pause during the hike.
Guests can take a swim, relax beside the water or simply enjoy the peaceful setting surrounded by cliffs & palm trees. It’s a moment to slow down, cool off & appreciate the natural beauty that makes this valley so special.
Listening to the trickling water is a natural sound that is very healing. In some spots there may also be some epic splashes as some visitors dare to take a leap from the mountain – an experience for the adrenaline junkies.
Views of Paradise Valley
Throughout the hike there are countless viewpoints where the valley reveals its sensational scenery.
From higher points along the trail, guests can see the winding riverbeds, towering rock formations & the dense palm groves that define the landscape.
These moments offer the perfect opportunity to stop, breathe in the fresh mountain air & truly take in the scale and beauty of Paradise Valley.
It’s a reminder of why this place has become such a beloved destination for visitors & locals alike.
Lunch in the valley
On the full day hike we take a pause for lunch at Afra. A cosy spot nestled within the valley where visitors can rest & enjoy a freshly prepared meal.
The setting is simple but beautiful, surrounded by nature & far from the busy pace of the coast.
Sharing food together is an important part of the experience, creating time to relax, connect & enjoy the slower rhythm of the valley. With traditonal tagines, mint tea, frech juices & sweet treats available.
It’s a chance to recharge before continuing the afternoon exploration.
Guided by Mohamed
All hikes are led by Mohammed, a local guide who was born & raised in the village of Tagherat in Paradise Valley. Having spent his childhood exploring the valley he knows the landscape intimately. From the well known trails to the quieter hidden corners.
Mohammed shares not only the beauty of the valley but also the stories, traditions & local knowledge that bring the place to life.
His calm & welcoming nature helps guests feel comfortable & relaxed throughout the hike. Whether walking through palm forests, discovering natural pools or sharing lunch beneath the trees, Mohammed creates an atmosphere where visitors can enjoy the valley at its natural rhythm.
